Settings is an interface accessible through the main menu. In it the many settings are configurable, affecting how the game looks, sounds, and behaves.

Pause menu offers the same functionality with a slightly different layout.

Resolution[]

The resolution selector affects how many pixels are shown on the screen at a time, and how often they're redrawn.

Depending on the monitor that the game is played on, some of the following options are selectable:

  • 720x480 59Hz
  • 720x480 60Hz
  • 720x480 75Hz
  • 1280x720 50Hz
  • 1280x720 59Hz

  • 1440x900 75Hz
  • 1600x900 60Hz
  • 1600x900 75Hz
  • 1680x1050 60Hz

Unlike the rest of the settings, the selection must be applied by clicking the apply button before it takes effect.

Quality[]

The quality selector determines the general level of detail of the graphics.

The following options are selectable:

  • Worst
  • Bad
  • Mediocre
  • Good
  • Great
  • Extreme

Fullscreen[]

The fullscreen toggle controls whether the game is ran in full screen or in a window. It can be toggled either on or off.

Vsync[]

The Vsync toggle controls whether the frame rate of the game is synchronised with the selected refresh rate in the resolution selector, potentially reducing image tearing when toggled on. It can be toggled either on or off.

Motion Blur[]

The Motion Blur toggle controls whether the image will become blurred when it is moving at high speeds. It can be toggled either on or off.

Show mouse cursor[]

The show mouse cursor toggle controls whether the indicator for the mouse position is drawn around the head of Diogenes' hammer or not. It can be toggled either on or off.

Use trackpad tuning[]

The use trackpad tuning toggle reduces the mouse sensitivity by a fixed amount when toggled on. It can be toggled either on or off.

Subtitles[]

The subtitles toggle controls whether the voice lines are subtitled or not. It can be toggled either on or off.

Mouse sensitivity[]

The mouse sensitivity slider controls how quickly Diogenes swings his hammer when the mouse is moved. The value is selected with a slider with left side resulting in slower movement, and the speed increasing gradually when sliding to the right.

Music volume[]

The music volume slider controls how quickly loudly the music plays during the game. The value is selected with a slider with left side resulting in lower volume, and the volume increasing gradually when sliding to the right.

Voiceover volume[]

The voiceover volume slider controls how quickly loudly the voice lines play during the game. The value is selected with a slider with left side resulting in lower volume, and the volume increasing gradually when sliding to the right.

Effects volume[]

The effects volume slider controls how quickly loudly the sound effects play during the game. The value is selected with a slider with left side resulting in lower volume, and the volume increasing gradually when sliding to the right.

Language[]

The language selection controls in which language the text in the game appears.

The following languages are selectable by clicking on the flag icons in the bottom left corner of the interface:
