Diogenes's Hammer is a large orange-yellow Yosemite hammer. It serves as the main way for the player to interface with the mountain in Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. In gameplay, only the head of the hammer has collision properties, meaning the handle will never collide with other objects. The hammer is one of Diogenes's two possessions, the other being his cauldron.
The player controls the head of the hammer by moving the mouse or by using the trackpad. In one of the voice lines, Bennett Foddy describes the player as controlling Diogenes' will as opposed to the hammer, given the lack of direct correlation between the player's and Diogenes's movement.
